The Monterey Pass Battlefield Institute
The Monterey Pass Battlefield Institute supports the mission statement of the Monterey Pass Battlefield Park & Museum through interpretation, living history and education programming. Trained staff members of the institute have been invited by numerous organizations to speak about the importance of the Civil War battle and the history of Monterey Pass. We would enjoy the opportunity to do these programs for your youth or adult group.

Guided Tours:
Our committee offers several tours that relate to the Battle of Monterey Pass and surrounding area. The standard guided tour is about two to two and a half hours long and are held rain or shine unless the threat of severe weather is immediate. A twenty-four cancellation noticed is required if your group is unable to participate. All Monterey Pass Battlefield tours will meet at the Monterey Pass Battlefield Park. For tours see Guided Tours page of the Monterey Pass Battlefield Institute .

Special Programs:
Special programs include PowerPoint presentations, tours, and education programs. Although not required, an honorarium is appreciated. If your community organization would like to have a program related to the Civil War history of Monterey Pass and other area s ee a listing of Education Programs here .
